The first day was all fun and bonding time. We enjoyed the scenic view at the beach, played volleyball and not to be forgotten... swimming time! The highlight before the day ended were the games at the beach which brought out the best of each one. It was a team-building activity where all the teams tried their best and used strategies to win. In the end, every team was a winner in its own way. We ended the night with a moment of expressing gratitude, apologies, etc. through writing down messages to specific people you want to send and sticking them to your name. The twist?? They used code names for their messages. Early the next day, at 6:00 am was a spectacular celebration of the Holy Eucharist with Fr. Michael at the seaside. It was the Solemnity of the Epiphany and his homily talked about the importance of the journey of finding Christ. To start this year offering to Him our simple gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh which is our riches (specifically the community), our prayer life and our perseverance for baby Jesus. After the mass, we packed our things and left the place at 10:00 am. This event wouldn't have been realized without the people who have organized and prepared for the event, especially for the food, program, place and transportation. All who have joined and also those who were with us in spirit really contributed to the splendid occasion. Thanks a lot! It was a moment full of opportunities. Opportunity to interact with each other, as one family; to discover each other's strengths, capacities, motivations, willingness and to accept ones weaknesses. Opportunity for me to discover more in myself how much i'm willing to give in service for the others.

It was such a nice experience of family and fun. The early morning mass by the beach was also one highlight for me. I hope we can do this every year moving on!
