Thank you Lord God for giving me a chance even in a few hours to share to the people of Daanbantayan. Although there were days of tiring preparations, but their genuine smiles makes me feel fulfilling and rewarding.
It has been a beautiful and helpful experience that made me realize that even if you have almost nothing, and sometimes everything is taken away from us, tears, despairs and complains are normal as humans. Remember that He owns all what we have. It taught me to be more humble and to be ready, to expect the unexpected. Acceptance in the sense that He too felt sad and felt bad. But too much complains never help but hurts. I also recognized that God never gets tired of loving us, caring for us, protecting us, forgiving us and saving us even on the many times He get hurts. After Yolanda left our country with damages, my heart was called to help in my own little way, though I wished for it, still I know that I can not do it alone. Fortunately the Verbum Dei Cebu community, asked for volunteers in packing, and I offered my time. Luckily I was also given the chance to go and distribute the goods to a certain place in Daanbantayan.
