IntroductionIn the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… Amen, the usual start of our prayer invoking the presence and asking help from the Holy Trinity in rekindling the divinity that is stored in us. It is the three divine Persons who, are unified in the unfolding and the diffusion of their own being and infinite joy in the creation, redemption, and sanctification of man. There is no other declaration of love to man than the love of our God, One and Triune. He Himself gives His total friendship and co-living, confidence, and intimacy in a simple, tender, committed, fraternal, filial, spousal, definitive, and eternal dialogue. For what great nation is there that has a God so close as the Trinity is in us—a living union, a total possession, and a satisfying presence. It is fullness of pure, perfect, complete, and eternal love. What a blessing and joy that a God declares and gives Himself to us as host, familiar friend, father, and spouse who is more intimate to us than our own selves. The infinite love of the Holy Trinity—truly present, alive, and real in us—inexpressibly transcends all relationships and expressions of affection and intimacy that man could ever experience. “What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” Knowing the treaty of the Trinity will be useless if we do not savor, taste, and drink from this inexhaustible fountain of infinite love of God that flows from within ourselves, in a gratuitous way and out of His own initiative, He invites Himself to dine with us and we with Him in an eternal banquet and without end. “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my Father will love Him and we will come to him and make our dwelling in him.” “Look, I am at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will enter into his house and I will dine with him and he with me.” It is in the dedication of our body—temple and dwelling place of the Trinity, the consecration of our heart as altar in exclusive worship, and our daily lives transformed into a liturgy of humble adoration that the Trinity takes delight in. Seduced by His love, we enter easily in the desert of everything, everyone, and even ourselves and allowing God to speak to our hearts, even in the midst of the hustle of our daily lives. Living with the Trinity, we establish in ourselves the primary and authentic community that will become the real seed and the guarantee of all fraternity and the true state of perfection. (VD Statutes 213-218) MondayBelieving in the Holy TrinityThen God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26) Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58) In the beginning, the Holy Trinity existed and worked in perfect unity and community though different in role yet one in the continuous creation, salvation and sanctification of man. Do we recognize the emblem of the Holy Trinity in the community that we belong today? TuesdayThe Holy Trinity prepares our heartsThe Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my Lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.” “Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.” So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.” Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There, in the tent,” he said. Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my Lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?” Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” (Genesis 18:1-13) God knows and sees us in the ins and outs of our day to day journey. He knows when we sit and when we stand, when we are distressed and in thanksgiving. But one thing is certain. God will always visit us and allow us to recognize his presence and be grateful for what he prepares to each one of us. Do we recognize and understand his prompting to each one of us and how each one can contribute to the community of faith? WednesdayThe Holy Trinity is one with us And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God. (Luke 1:34-35) And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:16-17) A concrete revelation that the Holy Trinity who is one with us is very real, that we are in the plan and in palm of His hand. The moment that we received Him in our baptism, God is already happy and please with our life. Do we recognize the real essence of our baptism as the beginning of the salvific and sanctifying work of God in us? Or it’s just a mere ceremony? ThursdayThe Holy Trinity sustains our Faith But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. (John 14:26) Jesus said to his disciples: “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This is how you are to pray: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’ “If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” (Matthew 6:7-15) The Holy Trinity is one and three different persons, demonstrating how alive they are in keeping our faith concrete and real down to the details of perceiving ideas and experiences, and selecting options and decisions in life. Do we perceive their presence and work in us more than what we know about them? Or we are still consumed by the world? FridayMissionary zeal from the Holy Trinity Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. “The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be.” (Matthew 6:19-23) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) The dynamism and active presence of the Holy Trinity will constitute and form the primary home in which God’s children will be born to life… A family rooted in the dynamism of the Trinity. One and different from each other, but always in communion with the same objective: to Go out of Himself in the same objective and introduce mankind in the same dynamism. SaturdayGrace abounds in union with the Holy Trinity Jesus said to his disciples: “No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself, sufficient for a day is its own evil.” (Matthew 6:24-34) According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you. (1 Peter 1:2) A family life lived with the Holy Trinity is a worry free and high spirited life trusting purely on the ultimate providence that God has prepared for all of us who believes and accepts freely the dwelling of the holy trinity. How open are we to welcome the Holy Trinity in our life these days and be transformed inwardly and outwardly to contribute changes to the community?
