Discipleship: A Life Journey with Jesus 4th Week of Easter - April 22-28, 2013 Introduction Our main passage for this week is John 13:31-35: "Love one another as I have loved you"
We are now in the 4th week of Easter and we continue with our journey on our resurrected life. This week, Jesus is inviting us to recognize our discipleship as a journey with Him. When we talk about a journey, we think about rough terrains, winding roads, difficult paths and uncertainties ahead. This is the same with our discipleship. After receiving this new life, this new chance from God to follow Him, we encounter that we encounter challenges and difficulties to keep the fire going in our faith. Before we look into the difficulties of the path, let us first of all recognize that our discipleship is in fact a gift coming from Jesus, not from us. "My sheep listen to my voice and they follow me" (c.f. John 10:27) Jubilee Year 50 Years in Your Word 3rd Week of Easter - April 15-21, 2013 Introduction We're now at the 3rd week of Easter and we continue to live out our new and resurrected life in Christ.
Last week, we deepened on how Christ has appeared to his disciples in many occasions, including the time they went back fishing at Lake Tiberias. Jesus is showing to us how he is with us, alive and resurrected, and he wants us to stay with him. "It is the Lord!" (c.f. John 21:7) Jubilee Year 50 Years in Your Word 2nd Week of Easter - April 8-14, 2013 Introduction We now enter in the second week after the resurrection of the Lord and we are still amazed at the experience from our semi-silence retreat. As the beloved disciple, we can continue saying:“It’s the Lord”. Really, the Lord has been resurrected in our lives and in our community, so, that we can say: it’s the Lord who is moving my life.
The signs of resurrection in a community who pray The Lord is risen! Alleluia, alleluia!
As this week we are still celebrating Easter, we don't have any guidelines for prayer. But we can meditate on our main passage for this week: |
