God make us in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of Kinatarcan Island, Santa Fe. Last Sunday (Nov. 24) was the second batch of relief giving. Our gratitude to our generous donors and volunteers. God bless every one. More photos after the break.
The Youth Encounter was a great experience and I can attribute the success and the greatness of the Encounter in three things: Place, Participants and Organizers.
Instructions:
Thank you Lord God for giving me a chance even in a few hours to share to the people of Daanbantayan. Although there were days of tiring preparations, but their genuine smiles makes me feel fulfilling and rewarding.
It has been a beautiful and helpful experience that made me realize that even if you have almost nothing, and sometimes everything is taken away from us, tears, despairs and complains are normal as humans. Remember that He owns all what we have. It taught me to be more humble and to be ready, to expect the unexpected. Acceptance in the sense that He too felt sad and felt bad. But too much complains never help but hurts. I also recognized that God never gets tired of loving us, caring for us, protecting us, forgiving us and saving us even on the many times He get hurts. After Yolanda left our country with damages, my heart was called to help in my own little way, though I wished for it, still I know that I can not do it alone. Fortunately the Verbum Dei Cebu community, asked for volunteers in packing, and I offered my time. Luckily I was also given the chance to go and distribute the goods to a certain place in Daanbantayan.
Here are some of the photos during the distribution of the relief goods in the northern part of Cebu last 11/17/2013.
In response to the recent calamity that has affected most of our brothers and sisters in the Visayas region, the members of the Verbum Dei family here in Cebu have offered their small gesture of love in packing relief goods for distribution.
For those who helped in sharing their gifts (either in cash or kind), thank you! We are all one body in union with Christ. See some of the photos below: Hi Everyone,
As one family, we encourage you to offer your help for the victims of the recent typhoon Yolanda that affected many of our brothers and sisters. The community will be accepting any relief goods that you would like to share (e.g. canned goods, water, noodles, etc). This will be sent to the affected families and victims of the calamity. Update: See some photos during the re-packing of the relief goods done in Ma. Cristina. Update 2: For those who would like to extend their help (e.g. re-packing, donations, transpo, etc) please contact Sis. Maggie at 0923 471 0690. Or you can also call the apostolate house directly via landline (253 9562). Update 3: See some photos of the distribution last Nov. 17. Update 4: See some photos on the 2nd batch of the distribution last Nov. 24. See some photos shared by Elena Mae Ty with her family on the national encounter.
Update: Photos removed as advised by owner. |
